Abstract

The green economy can fulfill several essential roles, particularly in achieving environmental sustainability and addressing major ecological challenges. All of these functions are achievable within an environmentally focused economic model. This becomes possible through the emphasis on sustainable business practices, renewable energy, and efficient resource use. As a result, there are numerous positive impacts on the natural world—many of which are clearly visible. There is a strong link between a sustainable economy and lower greenhouse gas emissions, as shown by the following statement. A central goal of switching to renewable energy and implementing energy-saving strategies is to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, which are among the leading causes of climate change.
